Lovely 4 Bed home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

San Miguel de Allende is an historic colonial town in the center of Mexico,now a UNESCO Historical site in the heart of a mountain range near two other towns involved in Mexico's independence, Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo.

Our home is in an area that overlooks San Miguel and is a 9 minute walk downhill to the center through old San Miguel. My husband, an architect, designed this house as well as the original layout of the area with his architectural partners. I am an interior designer and colorist and the 2 of us put the interiors together.

We have a cook who comes in 4 days a week and a gardener once a week. The view from the living room and terrace is absolutely mesmerizing and very glamorous at night when the city lights go on. The house has a nice flow, one bedroom is at the entry level with an ensuite bathroom, and the other 3 bedrooms are down a flight of stairs, two bedreooms with ensuite bathrooms.

When returning home, if you do not want to climb the hill home, taxis are $3.00 usd or 35 pesos. I use the taxis at least twice a day. You can do nothing or walk all over town, swim in hot springs, horseback ride, take tours of homes, eat, savor the friendliness and beauty of Mexico.
