Our home is a Victorian worker’s cottage built in 1895 and fully restored
and extended five years ago. It has three bedrooms, 1 large bathroom,
one laundry (including 2nd toilet), a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, a
spacious living room opening on a large covered patio and onto the
garden (10 x 25 m). There is a second lounge room / study at the front of
the house. Our house is located in a friendly street in the up-and-coming
suburb of Yarraville some 5 km by road to the center of Melbourne.
Access to the city is very easy by train (15 minutes), car (5 minutes) and
bicycle (30 minutes). The train station is a mere 200m from our house.
Also close by are the Yarraville gardens and the local tennis club (both at
the end of our street).
