Lovely 3 Bed home in Albany, USA
Two story modern house with all conveniences. Albany, a town of 45,000, is located in a lovely valley between 2 mountain ranges, one volcanic. It is 65 miles south of Portland.
The house has a living room with vaulted ceiling, dining room, kitchen,just updated, plus a W/C with sink on the 1st floor. Living room has TV with cable. 2nd floor has two double bedrooms, a possible 3rd bedroom is a balcony room with daybed & trundle.
There are two bathrooms upstairs; one en-suite. Central heat and air-conditioning makes it comfortable in all weather. The house has an attached garage with garage door opener and I keep the car in the garage.
The garden has shade trees, flowers, a fountain and a small vegetable garden. There is a deck for lounging, tea and coffee drinking or perhaps a glass of wine. The patio has a table with umbrella and barbecue.
This area is noted for local theater and lots of music for every age and taste. Oregon is known for its ideal climate in the summer. It's sunny and warm plus, we seldom have rain and the nights are lovely and cool. I am centrally located for all types of exploring of both cities and the countryside.
There are wonderful things to do in the summer. Oregonians practically live outdoors during the summer months! It is easy driving distance from Albany to Mt. Hood, known for summer snow skiing and one of the locations the US Olympic Team goes for summer training. On the other side of the mountain in the Columbia River Gorge, is rafting, hiking, world famous windsurfing, and miles of gorgeous scenery. There is good shopping and restaurants in the town of Albany and surrounding towns. Also, this is wine country. Many local wineries are open for tasting and tours.
An art and hot air balloon festival is held every August here in Albany. Outdoor concerts in the park are held every summer, free. An overnight trip would take you to Crater Lake which is the deepest lake in the US.
