House is located in a bush setting with water views. Quiet, but within 15 walking minutes to the village and beaches, or 5 min by car. Area is holiday and historic with great restaurants, galleries and vineyards. The area is very well-known for it's activities on the water, with museums and shopping close by. It is also an area to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. The house is a vacation home, with original artwork and a cozy feeling.
This area - the Bay of Islands - is the most historic part of New Zealand and is considered the 'Birthplace of the Nation'. It is also a very uncrowded place to visit and has not yet been spoiled by too much comercialism. There is also a great mix of cultures and a place you never want to leave!
