New England Converted Barn
Our home is a large, newly renovated barn conversion in Williamstown, Massachusetts, a beautiful New England college town in the Berkshires. The house is right in town, but in a secluded, bucolic location on an acre of land. We are a short walk to the beautiful New England campus of Williams College, to the Clark Art Institute and its lovely hiking trails, and to the main street of Williamstown (coffee shop, good Thai, Indian, American food; cinema, bookshop, etc.). The area has 3 renowned museums, the Williams College Art Museum, the Clark Art Institute, and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams.
Home has 6 bedrooms (4 children's, master bedroom, and guest room), with a study and library, as well as another spare room. 3 full + 2 half bathrooms. Walking distance to hiking trails and tennis courts, with golf course, horseback riding, great organic farmers markets, farm stands, etc. nearby.
About the location
Williamstown is a well known cultural tourism destination for New Yorkers and Bostonians: close to the Tanglewood music festival in Lenox, MA, Jacobs Pillow Dance festival, and home of the Williams Theater Festival in the summer. Lovely hikes in the Berkshires from out our back door, with many other hikes, including Mount Greylock, a short drive away. 3 hours drive to Boston or New York; many New Yorkers summer here for the mountains and the lakes.
