Beautiful 1850s hideaway

Our house is a picturesque, 1850s property located in the heart of Edinburgh. It is the middle house of a terrace of three houses, set back from the road at the end of a quiet cul de sac.

Upstairs: 1 with a double bed, 1 with a single bed and pull out bed, and 1 small study with a single bed, plus bathroom and separate shower room. Downstairs, there`s a further bedroom with a single bed. Our living room has a DVD projector & screen, so a home cinema is also available, as well as a TV. The kitchen leads into a south-facing conservatory, opening onto a private walled garden, with a small lawn, and patio. We`re set back from the road down a small path so our house is very quiet and secluded.

Only one downside: we have no parking at our house. We live in a permit only zone, because we`re very central. Free parking is available 15 mins walk away. We do have some visitor parking permits available but these do not last for all day parking.

About the location

We live in an area characterised by quiet residential streets bordering onto the Meadows, an area of parkland with tennis courts, playparks and plenty of space to walk.

Despite our quiet location, 5 minutes from our house plentiful shopping, bars, and restaurants are available. We are 10 minutes by bus from Princes St and within walking distance (15 mins) of many of Edinburgh`s attractions such as the Royal Mile and numerous museums and art galleries. Edinburgh is a great base from which to explore other parts of Scotland. We are 30 minutes drive from beautiful beaches, hills and moors.

We`re near lots of bus routes, and Edinburgh`s a great walking city.
