The sea is about 1 mile from the house, with nature reserves for bird watching, country walks and bike rides, and the house is about 15 minutes from the ancient town of Rye, East Sussex.

There is a fast train to London (38 mins) from Ashford, about 20 mins away and you can get to France in 25 mins from the Eurotunnel at Folkestone, only 20 mins away. We are close to Brighton, Lewes, Sissinghurt, Hastings, Battle, Bodiam castle (one of the most beautiful castles in England) as well as Dungeness famed for it's shingle beach.
