Lovely 3 Bed home in Villalier, France
Our house is not available at the moment. We are just outside the tiny village of Villalier but only ten minutes away from the lovely medieval city of Carcassonne in SW France. The Spanish border is one hour away by car (3 hours to Barcelona) and we are near lakes, beaches and the mountains. We are surrounded by vineyards and fields of sunflowers. There are superb markets with the freshest produce and locally produced cheese and charcuterie. Our village cave produces its own excellent and inexpensive wine. There are many places of interest to visit including Toulouse, Perpignon and on the coast, Colliure the haunt of Matisse, Derain and many other artists attracted to the quality of its light. In the Corbieres are the famed Cathare strongholds to visit if you are feeling energetic. Carcassonne airport (Ryanair) is ten minutes away and Toulouse (Easyjet) 55 minutes. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery, great food and lots of sunny weather then maybe this is for you.
