Lovely 2 Bed home in Saint Savin, France

This idyllic property is set in 8,000sq metres of oak woodland on the edge of the village of Saint Savin where the abbey is a World Heritage Site. We are Ihr from Poitiers Airport and 1 hr 15mins from Limoges Airport. We are only 7km from La Brenne, one of the most amazing places in France to view wildlife, espcially birds and butterflies. Over 60 species of butterfly have been observed in our garden including Large Blue and both types of short-tailed blues. Scarce Swallowtails are a regular summer visitor. Futuroscope is only 35 minutes away by car, Chauvigny 15 minutes and Montmorillon only 15 minutes as well. The local walks and wildlife are superb! Inland beaches with supervised bathing and lots of sporting activities and a bar/restaurant are only 10 minutes away and we have an open air pool in the village throughout the school holidays. Saint Savin has some very good restaurants.

The house is very well appointed, recently renovated and has a superb wrapround terrace with seating on all four sides. There is a double bedroom with en suite; dining room, lounge with wood burner; large well-equipped kicthen, a self-contained flatlet with bunk beds and a shower room; third bedroom/library with sofa bed; further bathroom with Victorian bath and a rear terrace with summer kitchen and built-in barbecue. It's really a house for outside living although cosy in the winter due to the electric central heating and the lovely wood burner.
