Semi-detached house on quiet leafy path, 15 minutes from centre of Lewes - charming mediaeval town with 12th Century castle in Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the South Downs. Lovely walks over the Downs, (from 5 minutes away), nice pubs, lots of live music. 25mins by bus (10 by car) to Brighton (`London by the Sea`!), 65mins direct train to London.

The house is comfortably open plan downstairs, french windows onto pretty garden. 2 double bedrooms and small single. Convenient free parking outside. Use of car possible.

Lewes is famous for Thomas Paine, John Evelyn, Bonfire celebrations, nice restaurants. Visitors to Lewes tend to fall in love with the place.

Lewes now has a great new independent cinema (`Depot`), cool modern design, three screens, showing at least 10 films a week (biggies, art-house, foreign, classics and live music Sunday mornings). Very comfortable with bar & resturant. Yes - I`m a fan!

Brighton is famous for... everything really! Especially the full-on Brighton Festival in May - the biggest arts festival in England. Anyway: Art, museums, theatre, music, dance, bands, the beach(!) restaurants, the Lanes & North Laine area.
