Stunning views on the shore of Loch Long

Not wanting to boast, but we are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas on earth. Our house used to be a children`s home but now is divided into three sections. We live on the first floor, with each bedroom and the lounge overlooking Loch Long. There are two double bedrooms and the sofa in the living room easily converts into another double bed.

On the other side of the house is a forest, so nature walks, kayaking, fishing are all possible straight from our garden. We have three extremely friendly cats, Rupert, a fluffy ginger giant, Tilly, a tiny tortoiseshell and Louis, a jet-black little cutie.

The house is cozy and warm as we only recently renovated our entire flat. We have an air source heat pump, which provides central heating as well as a wood-burning stove. Of course, there is WiFi and a large TV!

About the location

Although it feels like the outer Hebrides when we`re at home, it`s only 5min drive to the nearest supermarket, 20min to the nearest town, 40min to the airport and 60min to Glasgow.

Our garden has a boat jetty, so it`s extremely easy to pop out for a quick fishing trip on one of our kayaks. The area (Arrochar Alps) is full of Munros, so hillwalking is possible whenever the mood takes you. Or, on a lazy day, we like to sit by the shore with a glass and watch the water. When you`re lucky, you can spot the odd seal or porpoise.

A car is a good idea around here, but there is a bus stop outside the driveway.
