Bells House, Berrier

Our house is on the edge of the Lake District, near Ullswater and Derwentwater, Keswick and Penrith. Bells House is an old, comfy, quirky family home in a very beautiful location. We have three good sized bedrooms upstairs: one double, one with a single bed and one with a bunk bed. Downstairs there is a very small ensuite double. There are 3 gardens: one is predominantly used by my parents who live in the attached barn conversion and one is for vegetables/washing line. Your main garden is a good size, and has a small pond, a picnic table (with views to Blencathra), a trampoline and a small climbing frame. We have 3 hens and 2 guinea pigs, who we may ask you to look after if my parents are away. We have toys, games, piano etc for you to enjoy. There may be the option of using our bikes if we aren't taking them.

About the location

We are in a beautiful rural location within a 15 minute drive of Penrith, Keswick and Ullswater. Berrier is a small hamlet, near the village of Mungrisedale (where there is a good pub) and Greystoke (where there is a great outdoor pool from May to September). 5 mins walk from the house is a ruggedly beautiful Cumbria Wildlife Trust reserve (Eycott Hill) with beautiful walks.
