Beautiful large Victorian seaside home, with a large park a few minutes away and the sea about 10 mins walk.

Margate was one of the first English seaside resorts. From the 1730s it set out to attract visitors, particularly from London, who came by coach and sailing ship to take advantage of the fine sandy beaches and healthy air. Fashionable squares and terraces overlooking the sea were built to house the visitors and much of this Georgian and Victorian heritage remains.

Margate now has a brand new gallery, the Turner Contemporary with changing exhibitions of artists from around the world. The old town has a variety of restaurants and cafes with many boutique type shops selling retro clothes, furniture and various knick knacks.

The house is a 10/15 minutes walk from the centre of Margate with buses minutes away to take you to Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Canterbury. There are trains to the wonderful city of Canterbury, all major cities in Kent and to Victoria and St Pancras Stations in London, which is around 1hr 30 mins away.
