Stylish and cosy flat in great location

Light and spacious flat (75 square metres) in the beautiful colonial of La Laguna, a hidden gem in the North of Tenerife, off the beaten track and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Situated in a quiet street with good access, just a few yards away from the pedestrianised town centre, its ancient churches, museums, shops, restaurants and tapas bars.

We rent this flat out as a holiday home- we have decorated it as lovingly as our own home and we think it is just as comfortable, only without the clutter. There is wifi internet, flatscreen TV, Playstation, DVDs and books, a well equipped kitchen, etc. Please not that there is a washing machine but not a dryer. There is a small covered patio with drying racks.

About the location

Staying in the beautiful town of La Laguna also means you have good access to all corners of the island: the towns of La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Garachico and Icod; Mount Teide; as well as Santa Cruz and fishing villages of the South.

La Laguna was the first capital city of the Canary Islands. Founded in 1496, it has amazing Renaissance architecture of which around 600 buildings remain intact. Although some of Tenerife's best beaches are only a short drive away, its sheltered position has protected it from the tourist traffic. Some years ago the Unesco awarded the town World Heritage Site status for its rich, unique heritage, but it remains firmly off the beaten track, full of a local life to be savoured and enjoyed.
La Laguna has become the place where tinerfeños go to spend a couple of leisurely hours, filling up the many restaurants, tascas and cafés and walking around the streets. It is an ideal base for exploring northern Tenerife, green and balmy, with rugged coasts, valleys filled with banana plantations and vineyards. La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and the paradisiacal volcanic beaches of the North
La Laguna is the door to the Rural Park of Anaga, a mountain range that drops to the sea in dramatic gorges and cliffs and where one of the ecological treasures of Europe still lives: the laurisilva forest, dating back millions of years. This is a true paradise for hikers, and can also be visited by car, stopping at viewpoints for breathtaking photographs and in the little eateries along the way, where the most authentic cuisine of the islands is on offer.
In Anaga’s coast lie Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo, a volcanic landscape of sea pools where to swim and sunbathe before sitting at a local café, overlooking the sea and Mount Teide, to sample the local fresh fish and wrinkled potatoes with spicy mojos.
