Surrounding park has hiking trails. Organic garden, chickens (free eggs, minor tending required). Beautiful gardens to sit in, a fruit orchard, veggie garden to eat from, including many berries.
Extensive hiking, biking and fishing available (all the gear is here at the house), small golf courses, some very nice restaurants. It's a 2 hour drive to Manhattan, 3.25 hour drive to Boston. Local towns provide movies, music, restaurants, theater and much more.
