Lovely 2 Bed home in Galway, Ireland

My apartment has electric heating but also a working open fireplace. The two double bedrooms can accommodate up to four adults. One bedroom has its own private toilet and shower. The main bathroom has a bathtub and shower. Two tvs - one in living room and one in main bedroom.

Location is west of Galway City - ten minutes walk to beach and ocean and short bus trip to the city center. Bus stop opp. my apartment. Drive to Dublin is two and a half hours max on new highway. Day trips to Dublin on train or low cost hourly bus (20 euro round trip).

Galway with its population of 75,000 is a lively University (NUIG) town situated on the river Corrib and on Galway Bay. It is renowned for the Arts, theatre and culture events - annual Cuirt Literature Festival, the Galway Arts Festival, and Film Fleadh - both in Summer and also the September oyster festival. There is a thriving theatre community with the Town Hall Theatre, the Druid Theatre and lots of bars, traditional music pubs, cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating in Shop St and Quay St - next to the River Corrib. All bars and cafes are non smoking. The underpopulated and beautiful landscape of Connemara is a short drive or bus ride away. Also a day trip to the Gaelic speaking Aran Islands is possible - with a regular daily ferry from Rossaveal.
