About the location
Between the Midlothian and Borders regions, the area is mainly farmland with rolling hills and many fields of sheep. Near to the Moorfoot and Pentland hills, great places to hike, walk and even go skiing on an artificial ski slope. Also near to many small picturesque rural villages in the area near the reservoir.
