Tastefully upgraded retaining many original features, this 19th century cottage is privately tucked away from the bustling high street of tourist town Moffat, yet only minutes walk away from the many restaurants, pubs and individual shops this lovely Scottish tourist town has to offer.
Undeniably small, the cottage has a beautiful pine floor in the sitting/dining room with matching stripped (original) doors and original painted wood panelling.
Gas central heating and a multi-fuel stove keep the cottage cosy.
The cute bespoke kitchen is fully equipped - its cupboards painted in an attractive pale turquoise. The bedroom is spacious and boasts a cast iron bed and painted furniture with room for a child on a put-me -up bed. The modern bathroom, with shower over bath is en-suite.
Whilst there is no garden, there is a private sitting out area with table and chairs and in the Summer the whitewashed cottage walls are adorned with flowers and hanging baskets for you to enjoy.
The beauty of our cottage is that it is so quietly located yet within a couple of minutes you can be dining in a fine restaurant or walking the hills! Its proximity to both Glasgow and Edinburgh (both 1hr) means that we frequently enjoy a day in the city.
We think most couples would love it here!

About the location

Moffat is situated just north of the border in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. It is a particularly pretty little former spa town surrounded by hills which attract walkers from all over the world.
There is everything you could ever need in Moffat but historic Dumfries at 20 miles away
has more choice and the wonderful cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are each a mere hour away for all you shopping, leisure and sightseeing needs.
Moffat is particularly friendly - you will always be greeted with a "hello" on your walks and you can dine out in your walking boots if you wish - it's that kind of place!
Dumfries and Galloway is a wonderful region to explore with its beautiful coastal villages, towns steeped in history and the arts and mild climate (for Scotland anyway!).
