Quaint house

Our home is on one level. Sleeps 4 comfortably, but will accommodate more as there is a small sofa bed. Looks small on the outside, but very roomy on the inside. It has been referred to like the Tardis from Dr. Who as it is deceiving from the outside. It originally was a shop which was converted into a house. It is 129 yrs old. We have a large 2 bedroom ground floor house. It sits on a third of an acre of land and has a very large drive to park in. The front of the house faces onto the Main Street and has a bay window, the living room faces to the back of the property and is very quiet and secluded. The house has a lot of local history to it. The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower. The kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons. The living room is large and comfortable. There is central heating and double glazing throughout the house. In the garden we have a large gazebo where many parties have been held. There is also a hot tub In The garden which seats 5 very comfortably. There is a 24 hr gas station and shop adjacent to the house, there is also a convenience store, restaurant and pub and other shops.

About the location

Our home is situated in the tourist village of Balloch,, Loch Lomond. We have some of the most stunning and breathtaking scenery in the world. A five minute walk takes you to Balloch Castle country Park where the Highland games are held every year. We are the gateway to the highlands. Ben Lomond (second highest mountain in Scotland) overlooks Balloch. There are many places to visit here, little villages, shops, restaurants and hotels. There is boat rides available up and down the Loch. Fishing, whiskey distilleries, and many more attractions. Also golf courses in abundance for those who enjoy golfing. The train station is a ten minute walk and Glasgow City centre is a 30 minute train ride. Edinburgh is easy to get to by train also. We are a 15 minute drive from the airport. There is plenty of public transport available and many tour rides/trips available.
