Right in the heart of Clapham: a bright, compact and comfortable family home

Our family home is perfectly located; within a few minutes walk of Clapham Common tube and bus routes to central london, Clapham's plentiful shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife, leisure centre and of course the common itself. The house is located on a road that is quiet despite being so close to the heart of Clapham and benefits, unusually for central London, from a large south facing back garden. It's within easy reach of the West End, Southbank and south London's parks, markets and lidos. Clapham Junction station is also close by if you fancy a trip out of town - be in Brighton in an hour - or if you're travelling from Gatwick airport.

Downstairs there's a bright combined living room and dining room with two sofas, two arm chairs and a table seating six, plus a compact but well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor, our teenage daughters' bedrooms, both with double beds, plus a bathroom (bath with shower attachment) and separate toilet. On the second floor is our bright and airy converted loft bedroom with double bed and French window overlooking the garden. There's also a separate shower-room and toilet.

We do share our house with two friendly cats (Dazy and Marley). They're part of the deal but the're pretty low maintenance!

About the location

Clapham is a popular destination for good food and entertainment. It has many great restaurants, a Saturday food market and delis, good pubs and bars, an independent art house cinema, bookshop and unique local shops. Music and other events are regularly held on the common.

Nearby, Brixton offers a fantastic day and night-time market. There are open air lidos at Brockwell park and Tooting - both easy to reach.

The attractions of central London are a short bus or tube ride away.
