Your house in Heidelberg
A lovely private home on three floors with a terrace and a small garden where you can have lunch or dinner. Our house is nicely furnished and comfortable. It is suitable for children, but we would like to ask parents to be a little attentive because there are some valuable pieces of furniture. The house is located in a leafy, residential area - close to the city centre (tram stop is two minutes away). There are nice walks into the hills - ideal for joggers and bikers. We are two academics, one teaching at the University of Heidelberg and the other at a local high school. We are experienced travellers (USA, Asia, Africa) and speak several languages. We will take great care of your house and expect the same.
About the location
Heidelberg is an old university town with an intact historical city centre. It is on the Neckar River with the ancient castle overlooking the town. It is full of charming places to walk or hike, and to have delicious food. Heidelberg is a great place to go for excursions to Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Freiburg (Paris bis only three hours by train!). Why not explore the Black Forest from here or Munich (3 hours by train) or the vineyards of the Palatinate? Or just have a picnic in the castle gardens or in the nearby summer residence of the Duke (Schwetzingen)?
