About the location

There is so many options as to what you can do in taupo, Kayaking, Sky diving, Bungy, Visit the honey hive, Taupo race track, Helicopter rides, Skiing just 1hrs drive, Tongoriro track also 1hr drive, Taupo CBD has loads of Cafes and shops to Check out, also just a few minutes drive La'Arte Cafe up Mapara Road great Cafe for breakfast or lunch. So come and stay at Acacia bay Retreat and enjoy what Taupo has to offer. There is usually only 2 weekends a year where nothing is on in TAUPO, big events like Iron Man and around the lakes cycle race, art and craft festival, music concerts and may more.

Taupo is located in central North Island of New Zealand and is a 3hr 20min drive from Auckland international airport and the house is 15mins from the Taupo airport. Rotorua is a 1hr drive and is also a very popular tourist destination with geyser and mud pools to explore. It's a 1hr 10min drive to the popular Hobbiton village in Matamata, this is where they filmed a lot of The Hobbit and obviously Lord of the rings.
But TAUPO has plenty to offer right at your door step anyway!
