Situated in the beautiful colonial city of San Miguel de Allende, this unusual house meanders up five different levels to reach the west facing roof terrace with views of all the city domes and towers, and the Santa Rosa mountains beyond. Creatively furnished with Mexican folk art and antiques. Level #4 is a painting loft/sitting room and level #5 is the bedroom with one queen size bed. The levels are connected by a typical Mexican iron spiral staircase. House is a 2 minute walk downhill to main market, artisans market and Plaza Civica. Housekeeping included.

About the location

San Miguel de Allende is a World Heritage site of exceptional beauty and charm. Situated in central Mexico at an altitude of 6000ft it has a mild year round climate.
It is famous as a cultural centre and is the home of artists, writers and musicians, both Mexican and ex-pat.
Seventeenth century architecture, a recently restored pyramid and archeological site, art colleges, language classes, theatre, concerts, lectures, make it an exciting and rewarding place to visit.
Shuttles are available from Mexico City and Leon airports. Once there you can walk everywhere...or take the very cheap taxi cabs!
