Victorian end of terrace corner house on 3 floors - Bow / Mile End
Our home is a 3 storey Victorian terrace with a tiny South facing yard on a mixed street, in Bow, East London. There`s central heating and double glazing throughout
The house can comfortably accommodate 4 adults
We renovated the whole house prior to moving in a few years ago, including new shower rooms, kitchen, flooring, blinds and lighting
Furnished with a mix of vintage and contemporary styling, there`s lots of natural light throughout
In the living room there`s a wood burner, comfortable furniture and art collected over the years
The larger dining area is open plan to the living room with seating for 6-8. There`s a smaller dining table in the kitchen , comfortably seating 4
Modern fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of storage
Glass doors open from the kitchen onto the tiny yard
The laundry area is in the basement, along with the other double bedroom with it`s own shower room and toilet. The bed in basement is a sofa bed low to the floor and can be arranged as twin or double bed
Master bedroom has a kingsize bed and blackout blinds
There`s an additional loft bed, accessed by a ladder, above the study in the small back bedroom, not shown in the photos as it`s hard to photograph
Upstairs hallway is double height with skylights
Upstairs shower room is accessed down a couple of steps from the master bedroom. It has a shower, toilet and basin with skylight
There is no bath in the house, just 2 showers
The master bedroom is on the corner and faces the street so you will sometimes hear cars and people passing by
Please note that stairs to the main bedroom and bathroom are fairly steep and both WCs are accessed by stairs up or down
If mobility is an issue, our house won't be suitable, sorry
About the location
A perfect urban base in East London. We`re spoilt for transport choices. Mile End underground station is 8 minutes walk away - Central Line, District Line or Hammersmith and City Line.
Buses on the doorstep. Stratford Olympic Park 2 miles away. Shoreditch and Brick lane 10 minutes by bus, canal across the road and beautiful Victoria Park 5 minutes walk, with weekly food market, roller skate area, cafes, cycle paths, lakes and miles of green space.
The Victoria pub is across the road, a friendly neighbourhood pub with garden, specialising in fish and seafood. Britannia does the best take out fish and chips in the area and is across the Main Street
East London has so many fabulous restaurants, cafes, pubs, parks, music venues, art galleries and cinemas.
We rarely use the car, preferring to cycle, walk or take public transport. City cycle hire scheme around the corner, car share scheme available nearby.
