Village house between Granada and the Costa Tropical - Andalucia

Close to Granada, Skiing in Sierra Nevada, Costa Tropical, The Alpujarras, Lanjaron

Our house is in the picturesque Lecrin Valley, surrounded by orange and lemon groves, and with spectacular views of the lake.

The house was renovated by us 3 years ago, to include a fully fitted kitchen, and bathroom on every floor, whilst retaining some original features. It is on three floors, the ground floor has two bedrooms, first floor is an open plan living room, dining room, and kitchen, with a small balcony. There is also a sofa bed that can accommodate two. The second floor features the third bedroom with en-suite, and roof terrace with views of the lake, and the surrounding orange and lemon groves.

The house is well-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and use of computer. There are also children`s bikes, and beach equipment for the summer. There is a wood stove for the winter, which heats radiators on the middle floor. We also have electric heaters in all the bedrooms. For the summer we have fans in every room.

We have two cats that will need feeding, but are very low maintenance.

About the location

Our house is situated in the picturesque Lecrin Valley. We are 20 minutes by car from Granada, the site of the historical Alhambra Palace, and Albayzin.

The Costa Tropical is also 20 minutes in the other direction, with great beaches, castles, and white-washed villages such as Salobrena. There is also a swimming pool 5 minutes away, which people can use in July and August.

The Sierra Nevada ski-resort is an hours drive away, great for ski-ing in the winter, and also for visiting in the summer, when the cable car is still in operation.

We are also 15 minutes away from Lanjaron, the famous spa town, and a bit further on is the Alpujarras, with picturesque mountain villages such as Orgiva, Pampaneira and Capileira.

There are also a number of golf courses both in Granada and on the coast, and easy access to horse riding, rock climbing, and some great walks.

The nearest airport is Granada, which is a 40 minute drive. Malaga airport is 1 hour and 20 minutes away.
