High quality apartment with two workspaces, many books and garden in a vivid quarter close to the centre of Cologne.

First we want you to enjoy, relax and explore the great variety of cultural and outdoor activities within and around Cologne. Despite that it would be great to take care of our tomatoes, plants and the green. Our spacious apartment (125 square meter) is located in a very vivid quarter of Cologne but due to its building`s architecture it is very quiet. You can either enjoy this and relax or give the streets around a visit and enjoy the Italian, Turkish and alternative culture of this rising area. There exist elevators and the apartment has no stairs. You can do all groceries on foot and if needed just take our bikes.

As we are a household of two scientists and PhD candidates who work and live here, you will see that this apartment has two fully equipped workspaces, very fast internet (500 MBit/s) and plenty of spots to read. Additionally, it has a huge amount of books and board games. We also love cooking and therefor our kitchen is pretty well equipped with an induction stove, rice cooker, kitchen aid and a good coffee machine. The floor is cleaned by our little friend "Robi" and there are several smart speakers placed here and there. But if you prefer you can disable them. With our little friend "Robi", you can also use the vacuum cleaner if you prefer.

In theory it is suitable for more than two persons, as we have a single bed and a double bed-sofa in our workspace rooms but we live here with two.

And as there still is a global pandemic going on, as you all probably are well aware of, a few covid-related words: At the designated travel time, we both will be fully vaccinated and, because we are aware that German bureaucracy can be a little hard to follow, we will keep you up to speed on all regulations that apply during your stay here.

About the location

Other than what google recommends to do in Cologne and in addition things we love here:
- Close-by there is a lovely arthouse cinema showing most films in original language which is often English but sometimes French, Korean or Spanish.
- 5 minutes by foot, there is a very descent vegan udon noodle restaurant and a alternative vegan Kölsch Kneipe (Traditional beer bar). But you don`t starve here as there are so many spots to eat from traditional Turkish bakeries to authentic Italian pizza shops. Some even are opened 24 hours.
- Within Cologne you find more bars, restaurants and clubs to explore in this very open and queer friendly city. Just ask us for recommendations.
- From time to time, we love to see exhibitions in the Museum Ludwig showing modern and contemporary art.
- If we are leeching for some nature we often take a short trip by public transport to the next forest (15 minute ride) or take the bikes to the Rhine (15 Minutes) or a swimming lake (15 Minutes).
- If you want, you can take the public transport to the city center (about 10 minutes) or central station (10 minutes) to do different trips to the Ruhrgebiet, Bonn, the Mosel wine area or even the Netherlands or Belgium.
