Treneglos Cottage

Our cottage style house is situated in the beautiful, wooded Eden Valley close to Penzance and St Ives. It is a light-filled and spacious `upside down` house on a south facing slope, with two thirds of an acre of garden.

We have recently updated the kitchen and dining area and upgraded all the bathrooms. There are three double bedrooms and a large converted garage/gym with three sofas, a TV and a rowing machine.

There is a large balcony that is very private, with an outside dining area, outdoor sofa and chairs, that lead from the open plan kitchen diner.

The house is cosy in winter and has a wood burning stove in addition to central heating. The property is surrounded by trees and fields and has a tranquil setting with plenty of wildlife. We are a hundred metres from the Camino/Pilgrims` Way that leads to St Michaels Mount and it is great walking and cycling territory. We are close to Penzance and St Ives, as well as Lands End. The magical Isles of Scilly are just a short helicopter/ plane/ ferry journey away and the airports and docks are close by.

We have a large outdoor potting shed where we have a variety of wetsuits and body boards, a double kayak and a range of bikes. A car is also available to swap if required.

About the location

Our house is close to great beaches, sub-tropical gardens and world famous art galleries. We live in the Vellanoweth valley in the village of Ludgvan near Penzance. We are a short walk away from St Michaels Mount and Ludgvan which has an traditional church and pub. There are numerous beach cafes along the coastal path and excellent restaurants in Penzance, Newlyn, St Ives, and Mousehole. Popular visitor attractions include St Michaels Mount, the Tremenheere Sculpture Garden/art gallery and the Jubilee Pool which in Penzance. St Ives boasts the Tate St Ives and Hepworth Studio / Gardens as well as scores of restaurants, shops and cafes. Lands End is 10 miles away but a visit to the Minack open air theatre is on the way. A stop at St Just is worth doing for more art galleries, cafes and pubs.The Cornish coastal path is close by and it features miles and miles of sublime scenery and coastal walking.
