House on a hill with outstanding view of the city of Lyon

Our modern four-bedroom house is located in Caluire, on the hill opposite the 6th district of Lyon and the famous Parc de la tête d`or. It is part of a new housing estate composed of 7 detached houses in a private cul-de-sac closed by a gate, which provides a safe environment for the children to play.

The house has four bedrooms, (two double beds and two single beds) two bathrooms and can accomodate a family of 5 or 6 people. It has two terraces and a small vegetable garden with tomatoes to water and pick in the summer. There are a trampoline outside, a plancha, tables and parasols to enjoy lunches with a view on Fourvière hill and the river Rhône. We have plenty of bikes for adults and children.

About the location

The house is ideally located, sunbathed, facing Lyon due south. It is near the city, yet it is in such a green environment (our neighbour has a vineyard!) that it feels like the countryside despite the apartment buildings around.

Our home is only a fifteen-minute walk from the river Rhône and the 6th district. All the buses that take you to the centre of Lyon or to the popular Croix Rousse district are 10 minutes away on foot, either down the hill or up the hill. If you enjoy sunshine, walking and visiting a new city, you will love this place. If you prefer flat areas, our home is not for you.

The municipal swimming pool is only five minutes away on foot. It is a fabulous place where we go several times a week in summer. We have a family card that we will be glad to lend you so that you can go there every day if you wish.
