Glenroy

Glenroy is a 1920s seaside bungalow, about 3 minutes walk from the beach. It has been in the family for some 40 years and we have recently renovated it into a comfortable, bright and spacious family holiday home. With sea views, a veranda to enjoy watching the sunset, a path through the garden to the beach steps, and local facilities including a well stocked shop, restaurant and pub, it is a perfect place for a beach holiday and for exploring South East Cornwall.

About the location

Downderry is a quiet village within the Whitsand Bay Area between Plymouth and Looe. The beach at Downderry offers safe swimming with its natural harbour at low tide, and neighbouring Seaton also has a popular, larger beach and a nature reserve through the woods. The South West Coast Path passes through the village, rising to cliff tops on either side, with incredible views. While self contained for a holiday with its own shop, pub and restaurants, Downderry is within easy striking distance of all the attractions and amenities of South East Cornwall and beyond, including picturesque Looe, Polperro, Cawsand and Kingsand, Fowey and Bodmin Moor.
