Edwardian Villa

This is our principal home (see also our French holiday home listing).
It’s a much loved family house in a very friendly neighbourhood.
We are semi-detached, with a back garden.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. This opens into a dining room. Our sitting room has a fireplace + TV and adjoins a comfortable conservatory leading to the garden. We have a BBQ, dining area, hammock and sun beds. There is a loo on the ground floor.

Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms and 1 single with a full bathroom.

A third floor houses a loft bedroom with a washbasin and shower. Double doors open to a balcony.

About the location

Kingston Upon Thames is a buzzing town - varied shopping and entertainment, with good links into Central London.

There is an art house cinema, a theatre, a market and a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and bars, several of which are on the river. You can hire boats, some of which are equipped with BBQs.

Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and other historic sites are within close reach.

The trains into London run every 20 minutes and take another 20 to reach Waterloo Station, from where you can walk along the South Bank or get a tube or bus to anywhere in the city. We have numerous recommendations for favourite restaurants, bars and activities across London.

However, in Kingston, we are also surrounded by green spaces and the River Thames runs through the town.

Our road leads down to a riverside park, with tennis courts, a bandstand, a café and local pub. You can sip a sunset aperitif, or have dinner, gazing at the rowers, boaters, ducks and swans on the water.

Ten minutes walk away is Richmond Park, with gardens, cream teas, woodland paths, views of London and myriad wildlife including herds of deer. We have 2 bikes that you can ride around the park or along the towpath to a riverside pub or a picnic spot.
