Level 3/Loft: Office space and 2 double bedrooms and one with small en-suite toilet/shower. Available futon/bed for an additional double and single bed if required.

About the location

St Hilaire du Touvet is situated at 1000m altitude in the Alps Chartreuse National Park. Our house is within 5 minutes walking distance to the local mini supermarket, pharmacy and 3 restaurants (Baribal, Grange au Loup, Route 61), a children`s playground and easy to access walks. There is also a pizzeria 5 minutes drive away in the next village St Pancrasse (Sous le Dent) and an organic grocery shop selling local produce 5 minutes drive (Magasin General) in St Bernard du Touvet.

Our village, St Hilaire du Touvet, is celebrated for para-gliding and hang-gliding with the launch site 3 minutes walk away from our house.

Spoilt for choice when it comes to routes for hiking, rock climbing, road cycling, mountain biking, snow-shoeing and skiing (back country available from the house). We also have a local outdoor tennis court. The Col de Marcieu (10 min drive) is perfect for beginner skiing and ludique/fun snow (and forest/tree climbing) activities for children and adults. We are surrounded by downhill and nordic ski resorts within driving distance; Sept Laux (40 min), Col de Porte (45 min), Le Collet Allevard (50 min), Chamrousse (1hr), Alp d`Huez (1.5hr).

We are a 30 minute drive from Grenoble city with its wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and museums and sporting venues (ice-rink, football/rugby grounds, swimming pools). Two beautiful lakes to visit include: Lake Annecy and its picturesque town (1.5hr drive) and Lake Aiguebelette. Thermal spas include Allevard (45 min drive) and Uriage (45 min drive).
