Tyller Teg is part of a row of five terraced villas in a rural hamlet, with sea views to the rear (and a distant view of the iconic engine house West Wheal Owles that’s featured in the Poldark TV series). The back of the house faces west with the sun setting directly behind the house over the sea in the summer and the front faces the east. The front of the house has views across open countryside (beyond the small campsite opposite).

Downstairs is spacious with an classic interior style although it is a very much loved and lived in family home, it’s been fully upgraded in recent years to be comfortable and modern whilst retaining its period features. There’s a log burner, range cooker and bifold doors that open out onto the small back garden (with the fields and the sea beyond).

There are three bedrooms; a master bedroom with king sized bed, a double room with bunk beds and a single room with a single bed. There are also two living rooms (one with a log burner) and a kitchen and dining room.

About the location

Tyller Teg is part if the rural hamlet pf Truthwall, close to the Market Town of St. Just. It’s around 8 miles from Penzance and 10 miles from St Ives (via the stunning St. Just to St. Ives coast road - voted one of the best scenic drives in the UK).

You can walk straight out of the back gate to the SW coast path with Cape Cornwall and Botallack in short walking distances. There are two rocky coves also in walking distance, one at Kenidjack and one at Cape Cornwall - Cape having a man made sea pool and a slipway that can be swam from. Slightly further out are the local beaches of Sennen, Gwynver (4 miles) and Pendeen (Portheras and Boat Cove) - they have car parks and can be driven too but there is also an open top bus that runs in the summer that travels between St Ives and Lands End, which stops right outside the house!

There are several great pubs nearby including the Queens Arms in walking distance and further afield the Gurnards Head (off the coast road). St Ives and Penzance lots of great cafes and restaurants plus galleries and museums, as well as beautiful beaches and great swimming.
