One Bedroom Apartment on the Mediterranean and easily commutable to Barcelona, Spain

Our apartment is small but it does have a separate bedroom and kitchen area, and of course a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is next to a primary school so very peaceful before and after, and most times during, the school day. We have a small terrace which is just wide enough for a little table and two chairs, so we can enjoy el fresco dining and a glass of wine. The outlook is towards buildings in the old town and over the school playground. The block has approx 12 flats and is around 15 years old, however our furniture is only 2 years old. We are on the 1st floor and there is a lift. It`s a very quiet building but all residents are pleasant (if you see them).
We are looking for an exchange in London for April/May and August 2025, preferably within a reasonable commute to City University, EC1V. In July we don't mind where in the UK we are. Our property is also available for a non simultaneous exchange other times of the year

About the location

Mataro is a typical Spanish town. There is a tourist info but it is not a tourist town. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in close proximity. Supermarket at the end of the street plus an open air market with fresh produce within 5 minutes walk. The beach is 15 minutes walk and also has many cafes and restaurants. It`s a 40 minute pleasant train ride along the coast to the centre of Barcelona. Trains are frequent as many people commute. There is also a bus service to Barcelona and around Mataro. There are many small towns to visit along the coast, all serviced by train. There is good walking and cycling locally, and of course swimming in the Mediterranean.
