Hornbeam Cottage

A beautiful Georgian cottage and family home, walking distance from central Bath and with incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Situated on the south side of the city overlooking Lyncombe valley which was once part of the Georgian pleasure gardens. A great base for exploring this beautiful part of the world, or sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view. We are located just above the 2 tunnels cycle track which links central Bath with a huge network of flat, car-free cycle paths and is ideal for children. Bath Spa train station and the town centre is a 15 minute downhill walk or 5 minute cab ride.

There are 5 bedrooms - 3 with double beds and 2 with singles. The master bedroom has an ensuite and all rooms benefit from wonderful views.

The south facing terraced garden includes a large decked eating area, and orchard below. nb garden is multi level and steep, and contains a pond so unsuitable for toddlers.

About the location

Bath is a small city on the southerly edge of the Cotswolds. Visit the famous Roman Baths, Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey, or enjoy the many shops, galleries, bars and restaurants in the city centre. There is wonderful walking in the surrounding countryside, or swimming, paddleboarding, rowing or boat hire along the river Avon which runs through the heart of the city. It`s an easy 12 minute train ride to Bristol city centre, and the many beautiful Somerset and Wiltshire villages and country pubs are all within a short drive or bike ride.
