Manx cottage in Onchan village

Our family home is a Manx cottage in the heart of Onchan village on the Isle of Man. It’s a 3 bed home with a double bedroom, a bedroom with a single child’s bed and cot and a fold out double sofa bed downstairs. There is a modest garden with seating area and grass that gets morning and late afternoon sun. Shops, chemist and post office are all within walking distance.

Our home is 1 minute walk to a bus stop and less than 10 minute bus or drive into the city of Douglas. You can choose to explore the island by car, bus, electric tram or steam train and there are plenty of beautiful local cafes and restaurants to eat at. The airport is less than 30 minutes drive with flights from Manchester, London Gatwick and Bristol and the ferry boat can be taken from Liverpool or Heysham to Douglas.

We have one Bengal cat, Benji who loves attention and treats that we would love if you could feed for us. We are looking for a summer holiday house swap in Cornwall we are looking to be away from our home from 18th -28th July but visiting family in Dorset until 22nd July so looking for a home to visit 23rd-28th July.

About the location

The island has beautiful nature in the form of glens, beaches and forests and is a UNESCO heritage site with one of the best dark skies sites in the uk for stargazing. There is plenty of rich history with Viking castles and the islands TT links to explore.
