House in Deia mountain village by seaside

Our home is traditionally decorated mallorquin house with tiled floors and wooden beam ceilings, large rooms and a lush patio. It is double glazed throughout with a fire place, a separate wood burner and electric radiators in every room. We have a double bedroom with a kingsize bed with its own bathroom (shower + bathtub), there is a studio which can be used as a second bedroom with two single mattresses. The studio has a built in closet which is completely empty as well as shelving. There is a also a second bathroom with just a shower. A large kitchen and large living room with high ceiling, which looks out on the patio. We live in a quiet street with nice neighbours and we have large parking space.

About the location

Deia is a beautiful artistic village, lively in summer, quiet in winter. There are several fine dining experiences in town (Sebastian,Nama a new place called Balm) as well as cute cafes and bars. There are two local grocery shops, some antique shops and clothing stores. The village has a strong community feel with occasional festivities. It is a 20 minute walk to the seaside which has two fantastic fish/local cuisine restaurants right by the water, open from April until October. The village is frequently serviced by buses and its easy to call a taxi to our door. The local towns around the village, like Valldemossa and Soller, are historically significant as well and easy to get to. The Tramuntana mountain range in which Deia is situated is a major hiking attraction.
