The apartment is 37m2. It works best for a couple (although there is a 3rd pull-out bed).

There are 10 steps up from the street (however the apartment is on the Ground Floor).
Nice landscaped approaches to the (2012) building with 5 apartments set back from the busy part of this small town. Fully automated shutters on all windows. Sliding glass door opens onto a sunny balcony - perfect for sipping the local wine and gazing out over the Mediterranean. There are 10 hours of sunshine on the apartment almost every day.

Kitchen has induction stove-top plus a multi-function microwave. Bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated drying racks. It is in a mostly quiet area of town-very safe and 5 minutes walk to the central harbour area - or 5 minutes in the opposite direction to peaceful hills and vineyards. (There is a washing machine and wi-fi also)

About the location

The Catalan area is rich in history , and Cerbere is no exception. There are glorious cliff top hikes within 1km of the property (and quiet vineyards to wander through- away from the ocean). The Marine reserve at Peyferitte (Banyuls) is a 30 minute hike or a 10 minute drive. One of the best local restaurants (as well as a Kayak rental station) is at this charming small beach. Don`t be fooled by the modest aspect of this restaurant - The Bout de Monde serves fine cuisine at both lunch and dinner sittings.

If you drive south into Spain (its literally 1km to the Spain border !) you will soon be in Salvador Dali country, while Collioure to the North is famous in its own right for multiple artists - both past and present.
